Description: Our Substation Integrated Protection Design course focuses on detailed technical solutions for the protection of electrical distribution substations using EasyPower and ETAP software. Study solutions that use digital protective relays by GE Multilin, Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL), ABB, Basler AG and Siemens, and learn to design and calculate a modern substation protection system that protects all equipment (such as busbars, switches and power transformers). The following system is recommended but not a necessity: • CPU 3th generation i5/i7 or better • Operating System Windows 7/10 64 bit • Minimum 50GB of free Hard drive space • Memory 8GB RAM • Internet Connection Learning Outcome: After successfully completing the Substation Course the student will be able to: • Model an Electrical Distribution Substation and select the proper digital relays from a manufacturer • Perform protection coordination for the Distribution Substation • Create a Protection Relay Setting Sheet • Implement backup protection as required for the high voltage bulk electrical substations • Coordinate the substation protection with the feeder protection • Develop ground fault protection study for the Distribution Substation • Perform Transient Study for Fast Transfers • Adjust the differential protection R87 to coordinate with overload and transients Who should attend: The Substation Integrated Protection Design course is dedicated but not limited to the following qualified individuals: • Electrical Power Engineer • Licensed Electricians • Managers that must understand the Power Systems of the Substations • Electrical Safety Inspectors • Any other individuals who are interested in this subject Jobs related to this course: • Substation Engineering • Protection Engineer • Substation Operator • Switching Authority • Contract Manager working on a Substation • Electrical Inspector
